Guidelines for Hosting Shops

Tournament Structure

To better introduce new players to how officially sanctioned tournaments are usually organized, we highly recommend the following tournament guidelines:

  • Overall Rounds: Swiss-system tournament
  • Time for Each Round: 35 minutes
  • Time Up Determination: Double Loss
  • Overall Winner: More rounds may be added until a player with no losses can be determined.

Tournament Reporting

Please conclude the Live Start Battle on the same day that your shop has organized the event by clicking/tapping on the "Proceed to End & Report" button in your Bushi Navi organizers' account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a Swiss-system tournament format?

A: The Swiss-system is a tournament format where every participating player will play the same number of matches and their winning results are used to determine their overall placings. After the first round, players are matched to opponents with similar results.

Q: Can we organize the Live Start Battles using a tournament structure besides the Swiss-system tournament format?

A: If circumstances make it difficult to run the event in a Swiss-system tournament format, you may consider using a Single-Elimination or Double-Elimination format to host the Live Start Battle at your shop's discretion.

Q: Is the "Time Up" ruling strictly limited to 35 minutes per round?

A: You may adjust the timing to be more than 35 minutes per round at your shop's discretion.

*However, please kindly inform all participating players about the change in round timings before you start the tournament.

Q: What should we do about the prize if we only have one officially registered participating player?

A: Please kindly provide them with one "Participation Prize."
